What can I donate?
Cars, trucks, vans, or commercial vehicles. We accept most vehicles, even if it doesn't run. Remember that you must have clear title in your possession.
Is my donation tax deductible?
YES, MCEA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of federal law. Individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive.
Can I donate a vehicle that hasn't run in years?
Yes! It still has salvage value and therefore will help MCEA with its mission. Exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing.
Is there any cost to me?
No. We will make arrangements to tow your non-running vehicle and deduct the value of the tow service from your final tax deductible gift acknowledgement. This is required by the IRS. Or you can arrange to have the Vehicle brought to us, and receive the full value for tax deduction purposes. |
